Techfil’s range of Expanded Clay Media is dust free and contains very low levels of leachates making it an ideal growing medium. Techfil has succesfully completed the supply of 150m3 of our Pumice Filtration Media to Saudi Arabia. The client specified Pumice Filtration Media No.6 for technical reasons including the extended filter run times and reduced backwash costs due to its lower density. Pumice Filtration Media is now the market leading media for pre-treatment in BWRO, SWRO and RO desalination systems.

Techfil has been awarded a supply contract for 600 m3 of Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate for a Network Rail project in the South East. The Expanded Clay is being delivered in walking floor artic vehicles with 60m3 capacity. Access to site is restricted and Techfil have worked very closely with the main contractor to ensure prompt delivery. We offer a range of sizes and on this occasion a 0/20mm Expanded Clay was specified.

Techfil is supplying increasing quantities of Pumice Koi Filter Media to the Koi market in the UK. Our range of Koi Filter Media is now being used extensively as an alternative to traditional koi pond filter media in trickling filters and trickle towers. Pumice Koi Filter Media is inert and rapidly colonises with beneficial bacteria which help cleanse the pollutants. It is highly porous making it the ideal filter media for biological filters of all kinds.
